I wish to contact Mary McClure who contributed a Section on the Rooney Family via n email to prenticenet.com in December 2004.
I am a great grandson of Catherine Rooney (McCartan) on my fathers side of the family, who she said in the article that she had no further information about Catherine and I can share some information with her concerning Catherine Rooney and her family.
I have a photograph of Catherine, a photograph of the family home in Burrenreagh,I have the names of her children and a photograph of her headstone which is in Bryansford Cemetry between Burrenreagh and Newcastle.
I would be grateful if prenticenet.com could forward this message to her.

trying to find my Gran’s relatives who stayed behind in Canada and New York after the family returned to Scotland due to great grandfather Andrew Prentice’s ill health around 1924. My Gran Rachel Prentice was born in falkirk scotland in 1912 and had a twin sister Helen (Nellie) and brothers William (stayed in Canada), Andrew, Daniel, John and sister Mary ( who lived in staten island new york married name was bowie husband william two sons andrew and william) .Williams son Andrew posted on here in 2002 looking for info however I have only recently managed to get onto this site.

I am looking for information related to 2 people:
(1) Annie Caroline Prentice, DOB April 1894 in London, and listed in 1921 as living in Macaulay, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. She married James Rankin, DOB June 27, 1891 in Muskoka, Ontario, and they had 3 children - Edward Rankin; Delphine Rankin DOB 1919, and Lawrence Rankin DOB 1920.
and
(2) Emily Prentice, DOB c. 1867 in Canterbury, Kent, England; still living in Canterbury in 1871; living in 1911 in Toronto, Canada. She married Andrew Keen, and they had 2 children, Frank and Maurice.
I am working away on my family tree, and since I am living in Toronto now, I wonder if I have relatives living nearby?
