Anna Maria Klein
#17, Anna Maria Klein was born about 1792. in Beurig, a small village on the outskirts of Saarburg, Germany, a few miles northwest of Mitlosheim.
Anna Maria was 36 when she married Johann Dewald. Her marriage license describes her as "by profession a maid servent, resident of Beurich," and states that her father, Mathias Klein, was "by profession a farmer, resident of Beurich," and that both of her parents were by that time (1822) deceased. Her age at marriage, 36, suggests she might have been previously married, but no prior record is indicated by the civil marriage record, nor has any record of a prior marriage been located.
After her marriage, she undertook the task of rearing Mathias' five children from his first marriage, in addition to later having children of her own.
It is unknown when or where she died, nor whether she immigrated to America.
