1. Augustus B. Prentis was b. Feb 1862 in CT. His middle name might be "William" since his son has that middle name and is called "Jr." in the 1900 census. Augustus appears in the 1900 Marshfield, Cous Co., OR census with his wife, Anna E., b. Aug 1874, NY and children:
- Shirley R. Prentis, b. Jan 1892, CA. He is shown as living in Crescent City, CA when he registered for the WW I draft at the same time as his brother, Augustus, below. 1930 census in Oakland, Alameda Co., CA.
- Augustus William Prentis, b. Feb 1893, CA. . . . . . . . [2]
Augustus may have died before 1930 as Anna appears in the 1930 census in Oakland, Alameda Co., CA as the wife of Edward C Bartals(?) with some of her children.
2. Augustus William Prentis, b. Feb 1893, CA. According to to the WW I Draft Registration Database , Augustus was b. 3 Feb 1893 in Crescent City, CA. He registered in Del Norte, CA for the WW I Draft. He appears in the 1920 and 1930 Oakland, Alameda Co., CA census with his wife, Etta G., b. c. 1901, CA, and children:
- Augustus Prentice Jr., b. c. 1917. At home in 1930 Oakland census.
- William Prentis, b. c. 1918, CA. Not shown in 1930 Oakland census.
- Anna J. Prentis, b. c. 1919, CA. At home in 1930 Oakland census.
- Bruce Prentice. Died before 2004 (per obit of brother, Mervin, below). Not shown in 1930 census.

3. Mervin George Prentice was b. c.1922 and d. 10 Apr 2004 at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, TX. Funeral arrangements by the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Monday, April 12, 2004. Funeral Service Crawford Chapel on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 2 p.m. Burial at Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur (per Mervin's obituary of 13 Apr 2004 in The Wilson County News, Floresville, TX.
Mervin m. Lillian. Mervin's obituary is somewhat confusing in the way it identifies descendants (perhaps his step-children?), so we list them as given in his obituary. Children:
