1. Samuel Prentiss may have been b. c. 1800-1810 and was b. in England. By 1831 he was living in Canada with his wife and family when his son, Isaac, was born. Ref: Vermont Death Records .

He m. Sarah. They had 1 or more children, including:

  1. Isaac C. Prentiss, b. 2 Sep 1831, Canada. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [2]

2. Isaac C. Prentiss, b. 2 Sep 1831, Canada, and d. 11 Oct 1919, Worcester, Washington Co., VT, age 88 years, of Bronchio Pneumonia. He was a Laborer and Farmer per Vermont Death Records .

He appears in the 1870 census in Worcester, Washington Co., VT, with his wife and family per Ancestry.com . Not in 1880 census.

He m. Martha A. Blaisdell on 17 Feb 1865, Calais, Washington Co., VT. She was b. 2 Sep 1839, Fairfax, VT, and d. 11 Oct 1919. She was the dau. of John Blaisdell and Mary Kelp. She had a prior marriage to Lucius A. Ainsworth and had 2 children, Lucius and Alson. Not in 1880 census. Children of Isaac and Martha:

  1. Sarah J. Prentiss, b. 1865, VT. 1870 census in Worcester, Washington Co., VT. Not in 1880 census. One of the nicknames for "Sarah" is "Sadie." With that understanding, Sarah is likely the "Sadie M. Prentis" shown in Vermont Death Records as the dau. of Isaac Prentiss and Martha Blaisdell, b. 23 Jul 1865 in Elmore, VT,a resident of Montpelier, Washington Co., VT, who d. at the age of 60 on 19 Apr 1926. She had m. Mr. Corliss but was divorced at the time of her 1926 death.

  2. Martha E. Prentiss, b. 1868, VT. 1870 census in Worcester, Washington Co., VT. Not in 1880 census.
