1. David Prentice was b. 11 Jan 1880 in Scotland, as were both of his parents, and d. Apr 1968 in Shelton, Fairfield Co., CT (per SSDI. He emigrated to the US in 1896. They do not appear in Ellis Island Records. He appears in the 1920 census in Norwalk Ward 3, Fairfield Co., CT with his wife.
He m. Harriet Hall, b. c. 1893-4, CT, as were both of her parents. In the 1920 census they are living with Harriet's parents, Frank and Julia Hall of Norwalk Ward 3, Fairfield Co., CT. They later appear in the 1930 census in Norwalk, Fairfield Co., CT. Children (per 1930 census):
- Albert B. Prentice, b. 7 Feb 1920, CT, and d. 9 Jan 1996, Stratford, Fairfield Co., CT (per SSDI).
- Herbert B. Prentice, b. 7 Feb 1920, CT, and d. 18 May 1996, Spring Hill, Hernando Co., FL (per SSDI)..
- David Prentice, b. c. 1924, CT. Not in SSDI as of 2005.
- Jeanne E. Prentice, b. c. 1927, CT.
- Harriet E. Prentice, b. c. 1929, CT.
We are not sure at this point whether we have the correct family, but we did find in Ancestry.com a David Prentice, b. c. 1880 in Tarbolton, Ayrshire, Scotland, son of Thomas Prentice (b. 1843, Bothwell, Lanarkshire) and Elizabeth Mickle Boyd (b. 1853).
