Who are Christopher Prentice's Parents?

For now, we have no clues. He does not appear in the IGI or Ancestry.com. Neither does he appear in the 1841, 1851 or 1861 census. It is curious how he lived some 48 years without appearing the census. One explanation might be that he served in the military overseas, or perhaps was a seaman.
