Update of 15 Jul 2006: Nathan Jones Prentice is the son of Joel Prentice of Lincoln, Middlesex Co., MA who is discussed in our Summer 2006 article.

Nathan m. Hannah Lane on 16 Dec 1849, Boston, Suffolk Co., MA. She was b. 15 Jan 1827 in Weld, Franklin, ME, dau. of Eliphalet Land and Hannah newman (per census and IGI). Ancestor Charts can be found for Hannah Lane at Ancestry.com .

Nathan and Hannah appear without children in the 1850 Boston census, but the 1860 and 1880 Boston and Cambridge census name their children as:

  1. Charles Prentice, b. c. 1851, MA. Not home in 1880.
  2. Harriet Prentice, b. c. 1852, MA. At home in 1880
  3. John Prentice,b.c. 1857, MA. Not home in 1880
  4. Hannah Prentice, b. c. 1859, MA. Not home in 1880.
  5. Susan H. Prentice, b. c. 1860, MA. At home in 1880.
