1. Sabra Prentice was b. Feb. 2, 1787 at an unknown location, but perhaps in, or near, Hartford, CT, where she married.

She m. Ezra Lowell about 1806-1810 in Hartford, CT. Ezra was b. Apr 1784, Hartford, CT..We found a reference to Sabra and Exra at NYCHAUTA-L@rootsweb.com, the Chautauqua Co. NY Bios Forum. The item reads, in part, as follows:

    "EZRA LOWELL, b. in Hartford, Conn. April, 1784, d. in Milford, now Lamberton, (Pomfret, Chautauqua Co NY) June 29, 1857, age 72 years. He m. in Hartford, Conn., Sabra Prentice, b. Feb. 2, 1787. He spent his early life in Hartford, Conn.; lost his hearing by disease when 12 years of age and never heard a sound thereafter, but retained his voice and would understand by the motion of the lips.

    "He had a remarbable memory. In 1817, he settled in Lamberton, NY. He was a blacksmith. Both were buried at Lamberton, N. Y.; (*there is a stone for E.L) at the West Main, Pomfret cemetery, no dates; No data for Sabra.

Jan. 18, 1868, on a government hospital boat, "Die Vernon," on the Miss. river on his way to hospital at St. Louis, Mo., d. as the boat landed at Memphis, Tenn., and was buried at the Soldiers Cemetery at Cairo; m. in Lamberton, NY. Jan. 21, 1846, Lucy Esterbrook Taylor, b. in Montague Township, Franklin Co., Mass. May 30, 1820. about the year 1855 or 6, he removed to Iowa. He served in the 31st Regt., Iowa Vols., Co. "G." He was a blacksmith, and res. at Lamberton, N.Y. The widow m. again, David Becker of Mt. Carroll, Ill., and resided. at Cedarville, IL. Children per Ancestry.com :
