About Our Newsletter

Publisher: The Prentice Newsletter is published by L. J. Dewald, 7472 Whistlestop Way, Roseville, CA 95747-8353.

Background: About 25 years ago I started researching the PRENTICE ancestry of my father's mother, Florence Prentice, tracing the line eventually to the early 1500s in England.

In the process, I found myself having to trace other Prentices to determine whether or not they were part of that same line. On some of the lines, some going back to the 1300s, I've found that their ancestors lived as close as 13 miles from my own Prentice ancestor, so it seems likely there is a common ancestor who I've not yet identified.

After I retired, and as an avocation, I began the PRENTICE NEWSLETTER. I have more than 35,000 Prentices and their spouses in my computerized database and correspondents all over the world who provide information as a means of coordinating research efforts and sharing their information to help others in tracing their roots. We hope our PRENTICE NEWSLETTER will help you in tracing your roots.
