In reviewing Glasgow Record Office christenings, we found the following families in Dundee, Lanarkshire. The spellings of the surname are as shown in the extract. Although the spelling is not that of "Prentice," it seems likely that at least some of them are Prentices.

Since all of the children are born in about the same time frame, it may be that the men in the families are brothers, except John who may have had 3 wives.
