Survived by his wife, Barbara S. Prentice; two daughters, Betty Prentice and Kristina Prentice, both of Anchorage, Alaska; a stepdaughter, Barbie Buttner of Roanoke; a son, Arthur R. Prentice of Anchorage; a stepson, James Buttner of Roanoke; a brother, Edger Lowe of Hampton; and a grandchild.

Burial will be private. Colonial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
