Who are Thomas H. Prentice's Parents?

Although only conjecture for now, his parents may be John Prentice (b. c. 1784, in a county other than Norfolk) and Martha (b. c. 1790, Norfolk County). They appear in the 1841 census in North Walsham, where he is a Surgeon, with their children:

  1. Emma Prentice, b. c. 1814, probably North Walsham, Norfolk. At home there in 1841.
  2. Frances Prentice, b. c. 1821, probably North Walsham, Norfolk. At home there in 1841.
  3. Mary Prentice, b. c. 1825, probably North Walsham, Norfolk. At home there in 1841.
  4. Edward Prentice, b. c. 1830, probably North Walsham, Norfolk. At home there in 1841.

Notice that they children are older and even though Thomas is not show, the age group spans his b. c. 1823 birth date in North Walsham.

In our article Spring 2007 entitled Prentices of Northamptonshire , there is a John Prentice who is #11viii.

Likewise, John Prentice appears with his wife and family in the 1851 England census .
