1. George Prentice was b. c. 1831 in England. He does not appear in the 1850 census but does appears in the 1860 census in NY Ward 7, Dist. 3, Ny Co., NY, as a Rigger with his wife and family. He does not appear in the 1870 or 1880 census.
He m. Ellen, b. c. 1832, Ireland. Children (per 1860 census):
- William Prentice, b. c. 1853, NY. Not in 1880 census.
- Maria Prentice, b. c. 1857, NY.
- Mary Prentice, b. c. 1859, NY.
The 1841 census in England shows 4 possible families for George, but we have been able to eliminate all of them.
