IMPORTANT FROM MISSOURI

Another Victory Won by Gen. Prentiss--A Large Number of Rebels Killed, Wounded and Captured.

    Palmyra, Mo., Sunday, Dec. 29.

Yesterday, Gen. Prentiss, with four hundred and fifty men, encountered and dispersed nine hundred rebels, under Col. Dorsey, at Mt. Sion, Boone County, killing and wounding one hundred and fifty, and capturing thirty-five prisoners, ninety-five horses, and one hundred and five guns. Our loss was only three killed and eleven wounded.

The rebels burned another train on the North Missouri Railroad, yesterday, and they said that they intend to distroy all the cars on the road, so as to prevent its being used.
