1. Thomas Shereffler Prentice, b. 16 Aug 1917, Fremont, OH, and d. 7 Oct 1989, Richardson, Dallas Co., TX, at the age of 72, per the SSDI.

He m. Elizabeth Jeanette on 30 Jan 1945, b. 23 Oct 1920, Bellevue, OH, and d. 28 Mar 2005, Norwalk,OH. She lived in Richardson, TX for more than 40 years, and returned to OH where she later died. An extensive Ancestor Chart for her can be found at Ancestry.com . Her obituary reads as follows:

    Dallas Morning News, The (TX) - Sunday, April 10, 2005: Elizabeth Jeanette Prentice

    PRENTICE, Elizabeth Jeanette "Bettye" (nee Archer) of Norwalk, died Monday, March 28, 2005, at Carriage House in Norwalk. She was born in Bellevue in the 1920s. She had returned to Ohio from Texas after living more than four decades in Richardson, Texas.

    She graduated from Bellevue Central High School and Tiffin University. Mrs. Prentice was president of the Democratic Women of Dallas County during its 50th anniversary year in 1969-1 970 and was a civic volunteer in Dallas for more than 40 years. She wrote brief and often pithy, progressive letters to the editor, many of which were published in The Dallas Morning News.

    Survivors include her son, Dr. Thomas N Prentice of Austin; daughter, Carolyn Ruth Burden; sister, Barbara Hire; and four grandchildren and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Shreffler Prentice, in 1989; her parents, Donald R. and Freda Archer, in 1944; a daughter, Pamela Ann Prentice, in infancy; and brothers, Richard Archer and D. Jack Archer.

    Memorial Service 2:00 PM Saturday April 30, 2005 Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. Memorials are requested to be made to Lutheran World Relief or the charity or human justice organization of your choice. Arrangements by: EVANS & GROFF FUNERAL HOME 314 E.
