TEMECULA -- David E. Prentice, 52, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, in Temecula.

Born Jan. 28, 1951, in Downey, he lived in Temecula for six years. He was assistant district manager at The Californian and an ATM refurbisher for Bantel Corp. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers from 1967 to 1969. He was an avid gardener and fisherman, lover of fine novels and the "father" of his beloved felines. His greatest passion was culinary arts.

He is survived by his wife, Carole Prentice of Temecula; mother,0 Phyliss Campbell of Fullerton; daughters Patsy Prentice of Norwalk and Lisa Dawson White of Fullerton; son, David Prentice Jr. of Sprague River, Ore.; and brothers and sisters-in-law Billy and Belinda Barton of Anaheim Hills, Jimmy and Debbie Prentice of Bellflower, and Stephen and Tammy Prentice of Longmont, Colo.

Viewing was held Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at Stout Family Funeral Home in Temecula. A private inurnment is planned. Stout Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

2. Lisa Prentice. She m. Mr.Dawson White and in 2004 lives in Fullerton, CA.
3. David E. Prentice Jr. and in 2004 lives in Sprague River, OR.

The only clue we have now is that David's obituary mentions, "mother, O Phyliss Campbell of Fullerton" CA. "Campbell" seems likely a surname from a later marriage. David does not appear in the 2015 Ancestry.com "Public Member Trees."

Investigation is continuing.
