Roger M. "Bill" Prentiss, of Richmond, entered into eternal rest January 11, 2006.
He is survived by a daughter, Tammiezay S. Williams (Keith); three sons, Roger M. "Pete" Jr. (Debbie), Lonzo (Pamela) and Donell (Ann); nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bessie Dennis, Lillian Lee and Viola Brown; four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; devoted friend, Edna A. Gillespie.
Remains rest at J. Leroy Charity Funeral Home, Charles City, where family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday. At 9 a.m. Tuesday, Mr. Prentiss will rest at Samaria Baptist Church (St. John) where services will be held at 11 a.m. Rev. Ellsworth Tait, pastor, officiating. Eulogy Rev. Russell Crawley. Interment St. John Baptist Church Cemetery.
