He m. Mary Kathryn Stallcup c. 1974, Lindsay, OK. She was b. 4 Aug 1954 and d. 6 Feb 2012 in Royce City, TX. Her obituary reads as follows:

Mary Kathryn Prentice

Mary Prentice 57 of, Royse City, passed away February 6, 2012 in Dallas. She was born August 4, 1954 in Lindsay, OK. To Mac and Millie Stallcup.

Mary was employed at McKesson for 20 plus years as a National Certified Medical Coder and known to her co-workers as “Queen Mary”. She was famous for banana cake and fudge. She married the love of her life and best friend Ricky Prentice on March 10, 1973. Mary and Ricky were married for 38 years.

Mary is survived by her husband, Ricky Prentice of Royse City; son, Greg Prentice of Royse City; daughter; Jamie Lyn Prentice of Tawakoni; mother, Millie Stallcup of Ardmore, OK; brother, Mac Stallcup Jr, of Garland; sisters, Sue Green of Destin, FL, Evelyn Cope of Keller; grandchildren, Christopher, Katelynn and Jonathan. She was preceded in death by her father in 1992.

Informal viewing will begin Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. until funeral time at 2:00 P.M. in the Lynch Funeral Home chapel. Online condolences may be made at lynchfuneralservice.com. LYNCH Funeral Service of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
