We found the following Prentices listed in the 1911 Census in Nova Scotia, Canada:
Surname Givens Age Prov. District Subdistrict Dist. # Page Line Prentice Ernest 28 Nova Scotia Cumberland Springhill 37 1 20 Prentice George 50 Nova Scotia Colchester Gays River poll district 8 7 1 Prentice Minnie 42 Nova Scotia Colchester Gays River poll district 8 7 2 Prentice Clyde 6 Nova Scotia Colchester Gays River poll district 8 7 3
The 1911 census says George Prentice was b. Feb 1861. He is probably not the George Prentiss shown in the 1881 census in Dalhousie, Anapolis, Nova Scotia, as b. c. 1859, Nova Scotia, son of Harris Prentiss (b. c. 1820, Nova Scotia) and his wife, Lavinia (b. c. 1824, Nova Scotia). Harris Prentiss is #146 in our Thomas eBook, and his son, George Prentiss is #239, b. c. 1860, Nova Scotia, and we show that George m. Hannah C. Staples, b. c. 1862, ME, and that in the 1900 census he was living in Quincy, Norfolk Co., MA
