1. Melvin George Prentice was b. c. 1922 and d. 10 Apr 2004 at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus. His Obituary appears on 13 Apr 2004 in the "Hamilton Spector" in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. His Obituary reads as follows:
- PRENTICE, Mervin George - Peacefully, at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, on Saturday, April 10, 2004, in his 82nd year.
Beloved husband of Lillian Prentice of Arthur. Dear father of Kay and Charles McIntosh of Arthur, Wayne Richmond and his friend Kathy Clayton of Drayton and Marilyn Richmond of Guelph. Much cherished grandpa of Sheri and Jason McIntosh, Adam McIntosh, Sabrina Sheard-Richmond, Kelly Richmond, Kayla Richmond and Dillon Richmond.
Sadly missed by his great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Marissa McIntosh. Predeceased by his brother, Bruce Prentice.
Family will receive friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Monday, April 12, 2004 (today), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the Crawford Chapel on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 2 p.m. Spring interment Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur.
