1. George Prentice was b. c. 1861 in English Canada. He does not appear in the 1881 Canada census. He emigrated to the U. S. in 1883 and first appears in the 1900 census in Superior, Chippewa Co., MI with his wife and family. They later appear in the 1920 census in Oakland, Alameda Co., CA. He does not appear in the 1930 census.

He m. Elizabeth. She was b. c. 1862 in English Canada. Children:

  1. Thomas Henry Prentice, b. 10 Jul 1880, English Canada or MI. At home in 1900 in Superior, Chippewa Co., MI, and in the 1920 census in Oakland, Alameda Co., CA. 1930 in Eden, Alameda Co., CA. He m. Fay E. Bardon. She was b. c. 1902. Children:
    1. (dau.) Prentice.
    2. (son) Prentice.
    3. Thomas William Prentice, b. 22 Fe 1922, Hayward, Alameda Co., CA, and d. 10 May 1989, Ft. Bragg, Mendocino Co., CA. He m. 1st. Miss Logsden c. 1945 and had a daughter. He m. 2nd Miss Reno. An Ancestor Chart for her can be found at Ancestry.com . Children:
      1. (dau.) Prentice.
      2. (son) Prentice.
      3. (dau.) Prentice.
      4. Tammy Lee Prentice, b. 17 Sep 1958, Oroville, Butte Co., CA. and d. 4 Sep 2004, Willows, Glenn Co., CA. She m. Mr. Hawk c. 1976 in Ft. Bragg and had a son. She m. 2nd Mr. Pettenger c. 1979. She m. 3rd Mr. Newton in 1983 in Stateline, Douglas Co., NV and had a son.

    Who are George Prentice's Parents?

    The only clues we have so far is from the 1900 census which shows that the parents of both George and his were born in Canada.
