We are seeking information about the descendants of Frank H. Prentice of NY, MA and MD for our John-3 eBook. Here is what we have so far.

603. Frank H. Prentiss (John C., 327). Born, 24 Nov 1861, in NY [376]. Residence in Baltimore, MD [104]. He appears in the 1900 Boston, Suffolk Co., MA census with his wife and family. Frank may have d. before 1920 as he does not appear with his family in the 1920 census and his wife, Ellen, is called a widow.

He m. Ellen Crook, b. Nov 1868, English Canada. In the 1930 census she was living with the family of her daughter, Christine (Prentiss) Bryant her husband in Gardena, Los Angeles Co., CA. Children (per 1900 and 1920 census):

1. Gertrude A. Prentiss, b. Jun 1890. At home in 1900 and 1910 in Boston.

2. Leona E. Prentiss, b. May 1893. At home in 1900 and 1910 in Boston. She may be the Leona E. Prentiss shown in the 1920 census in Watham, Middlesex Co., MA, as b. c.1894, MA, and a Patient in the MA School for the Feeble-Minded. Not in 1930 census.

3. Clarence J. Prentiss, b. 28 Oct 1894, MA and d. 31 May 1962, Los Angeles, CA (per CA Death Index). He was a Mech. in the US Army and is bur. at Sec. Y, Site 911, Ft. Rosecrans Natl. Cem., San Diego, CA. He appears in the 1920 Boston, MA census with his wife, (illegible). He is probably the same person as the Clarence J. Prentice, b. c. 1894-5 who appears in the 1930 Quincy, Norfolk Co., MA census with his wife, Mary J., b. c. 1890, RI, and son:
   1. Frank D. Prentiss, b. 29 Jul 1920, obtained his SS# in MA, and d. 24 Jul 1980 in El Centro, Imperial Co., CA. (per CA death Index.)

4. Christina/Christine E. Prentiss, b. Nov 1896. At home in 1900, 1910 and 1920. She appears in the 1930 census in Gardena, Los Angeles Co., CA, with her husband, Frank O. Bryant, b. c. 1892, NH (as were his parents) and daughter:
   1. Virginia M. Bryant, b. c. 1927, MA. At home in Gardena, CA, in the 1930 census.

5. Maud L/M Prentiss, b. Nov 1898, MA. At home in 1900, 1910 and 1920.

6. Frank Herbert Prentiss, b. 23 May 1904 and d. 24 Jul 1993 in Yucca Valley, San Bernadino Co., CA (per SSDI). Although additional investigation is needed, he may be the Frank Prentiss shown in the 1930 census in Lynn, Essex Co., MA as b. c. 1904-5, with his wife, Ann, b. c. 1906, and son:
   1. Frank Prentiss Jr., b. c. 1929, MA

7. Warren S. Prentiss, b. 8 Dec 1908 and d. May 1976 in Yucca Valley, San Bernadino Co., CA (per SSDI). He appears in the 1930 census in Bronx, Bronx Co., NY as a servant, unmarried.
