1. William Prentice was b. c. 1793 at an unknown town in Norfolk, England. He appears in the 1841 census in Gorleston, Suffolk, England, and in the 1861 census in Gorleston where his occupation is given as "Surgical Applicances." William does not appear in later census records in Gorleston.
He m. Sarah, b. c. 1798 in an unknown location. Children (per census and IGI):
- Sarah Prentice, chr. 21 Oct 1821, Gorleston With Southtown, Suffolk. At home in 1861 and called a "Dressmaker."
- Ann Prentice, chr. 27 Aug 1823, Gorleston With Southtown, Suffolk. Not home in 1861.
- Elizabeth Prentice, chr. 15 Sep 1825, Gorleston With Southtown, Suffolk. Not home in 1861.
