We'll bet that it never crossed your mind to ask if there were any Prentices of Italian origin. Well, surprise, there are some.

1. Peter (Pietro?) Prentiss was b. c. 1879 in Italy. At an unknown date he emigrated to Lincoln Co., LA where he appears in the 1910 Lincoln Co., LA census with his wife and family. Not in the 1920 or 1930 census.

He m. Vinga O., b. c. 1889 at an unknown location, and their children:

  1. Caroline Prentice, b. c. 1907 at an unknown location.
  2. Vita Prentice (dau.), b. c. 1908 at an unknown location.
  3. Joseph/Joe Prentice, b. c. 1908 at an unknown location.

2. William Prentice was b. c. 1854 in Italy. He appears in the 1881 Monroe, Monroe Co., MI census as a Printer and unmarried boarder in the home of Francis and Angeline Duclo. Both of his parents were also born in Italy.
