1. Fred A. Prentice was b. Sep 1840 in CT. He appears in the 1850 census in Norwich, New London Ct., with his mother, Elizabeth, b. c. 1807, CT, and his siblings.

He later appears in the 1870, 1880 and 1900 census of San Francisco, CA as a Telegraph Operator with his wife and family.

He m. Martha E., b. c. 1846 in MA and called Lilly in the 1880 census. Fred is living alone in the 1900 census. Children of Fred and Martha:

  1. Arthur Prentice, b. c. 1869-70, CA. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [2]
  2. Florence Prentice, b. c. 1873, CA.

2. Arthur Dudley Prentice, b. 16 Nov 1869, CA, and d. 19 Apr 1959. He was a Captain in the Army and is bur at Sec. K, Site 2775-c, Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, CA. He appears in the 1910 and 1920 San Francisco, CA census with his wife and family.

He m. Florence L., b. c. 1873, NY. Children:

  1. Dorothy E. Prentice, b. c. 1905, Phillippines. At home in 1920.
  2. Ruth L. Prentice, b. c. 1907, Phillippines. At home in 1920
