Jacob and his 2nd wife, Alice, had at least 2 children:

After Jacob died, Alice m., as a 2nd husband, George Eaby on 23 Sep 1897.

2. George Baker Prentice, b. 4 Jan 1889 at S. Des Moines, Polk Co., IA. He is probably the George B.Prentice who appears in the 1920 census in Michigan City, La Porte Co., IN, as b. c. 1890, IA, with his wife, Martha, and in the 1930 census in Montebello, Los Angeles, CA, as b. c. 1890, IA, with his wife, Martha B., b. c. 1906, Russia, and children:

1. Bruce W. Prentice, b. c. 1922, IN.
2. Richard B. Prentice, b. c. 1924, IN.
3. David R. Prentice, b. c. 1925, IN.
4. Susan B, Prentice, b. c. 1928, IN.
