1. Betty Diann (Thompson) Prentiss of Norfolk, VA, b. c. 1952, Portsmouth, VA, and d. 25 Nov 2016, age 64, Norfolk, VA. Her obituary reads as follows:

    Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, November 27, 2016: Betty Diann Prentiss 1952 - 2016

    Betty Diann Prentiss Norfolk - Betty Diann Prentiss, 64, passed away November 25, 2016. Diann was born in Portsmouth, VA to Betty and Alfred Thompson, Sr.

    She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred E. Thompson, Jr.

    For 12 years, Diann was employed at the Virginia Arts Festival and was previously employed for 21 years at Norfolk Christian Schools as a Development Assistant. Besides her parents.

    Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Michelle D. Pasini (Rusty) and Apryl D. Prentiss (Adrian); grandchildren, Davey and Sammi Pasini; and a host of other family and friends.

    Diann died as she lived; she was a fighter with a deep love for her family and friends. Her battle with cancer was intense, but she remained positive and determined. She passed away peacefully at home as she wished. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the team of doctors at Sentara Norfolk General and Sentara Hospice who took excellent care of her.

    The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 6-7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1012 N. Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake, on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tracy Gregory officiating. Instead of flowers, please consider making a donation in her name to: Norfolk Christian Schools Worthy Servants Fund or to the Virginia Arts Festival-Tattoo Endowment. She m. Mr. Prentiss, but his name is not mentioned in Betty's obituary, above, and they may be divorced or he may have been deceased. Children of Betty and Mr. Prentiss:

  1. Michelle D. (Prentice?) She m. Rusty Pasini. It is unclear whether Michelle ia a daughter of a person other than Mr. Prentiss. Children:
    1. Davey Pasini.
    2. Sammi Pasini.

  2. Apryl D. Prentiss (Adrian).
