We are working with Vicki (Prentice) Brown, Beverly Markham, Catherine Murray and Martin McCrae on their family tree. Vicki is a descendants of William Alexander McLaren Prentice, #5, below. Beverly is an in-law related to the Schultz family and to Sophie Margaret Schultz (see #15, below). Another a major contributor is Alasdair, McNaughton. Here is what we have so far:
B. Harry/Hary Pratties may have been b. c. 1715-1724, perhaps in, or near, Alloa where his son, Andrew, was chr. on 5 Feb 1744.
The IGI and Ancestral File does not identify his parents, but the phonetic pronunciation of his surname, together with his Alloa residence in Alloa 1744, suggests he may be related to the Pratice families living there in that time frame. For more about them, see John Prates of Alloa, Clackmannan, Scotland . Harry/Hary Pratties m. Elizabeth Pratties, perhaps in Alloa, and had (per IGI):

Please note that he may well have been born in the village of Sauchie, the church of which, though built in 1841-42, was not raised to 'quoad sacra' status until 1877 (i.e. Sauchie parish did not officially exist at the time of his birth)'".
