By Linus Joseph Dewald Jr., Editor
Winter 1999 and Revised 21 Feb 2006

Update of 21 Feb 2006: Although additional investigation is needed for confirmation, his birth year and residence in Kalkaska strongly suggests that he is William Prentice, a son of Joseph C. Prentice and Sarah McLargin, and is #163.1 in our Valentine3 eBook. Also living in Kalkaska at tthe same time as William was a J. J. Prentice. The ages of J. J. and William match the ages of the known sons of Joseph and Sarah, William and Jessie.
