David Prentice is the son of James Prentice, b. c. 1825, PA and and first wife Agnes Anne McConnell. James and his second wife, Nancy A. McKindley, appear in the 1870 Wellsville, Columbiana Co., OH census. David and James are descendants of the Beaver Co., PA Prentices.

1. David Prentice, b. Sep 1861, PA, appears in the 1900 Allegheny Co., PA census (with the surname spelled "Printice), and in the 1920 Edgeworth, Allegheny Co., PA census, with his wife, Teresa, b. Feb 1865, PA. Children (per 1900 and 1920 census):
