According to the 1930 census, the 1857 Alexander Prentice's father was b. in "Nova Scotia" and his mother in "Canada English." A review of the LDS 1881 Canada census does not disclose an Alexander b. in the 1855-59 time whose father is shown as b. in Nova Scotia, but does show 2 born in Ontario in that period.
