The 1860 Burlington, Chittenden Co., VT census identifies the following family:
1. Henry Prentiss, b. c. 1829, MA, Shoe Store
He m Jane, b. c. 1823, CT. Son:
- Henry Prentiss, b. c. 1858, VT
Henry's birth is shown in the VT IGI, but no parents are named. He does not appear in the MA IGI.
Proximity suggests he may be related to Clark Prentiss of Burlington who was born about 1816 or Edward Prentiss of Burlington, born 1820, who appears there in the 1850 census. Edward may be 381/35ii in our Prentice book.
