Sacramento Bee, The (CA) - Wednesday, March 5, 2014: Susan Prentice Woodward.

Susan Prentice Woodward, Age 58, passed away peaceably on February 25 at home in Sacramento after a 15-month battle with cancer.

Susan earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts in 1984. With a passion for learning, she had a long, successful career in wind energy, highway safety, and lighting design. She is remembered for her positive spirit, contagious laughter, forthright honesty, and gracious kindness.

She was wife and soul-mate to Jim Woodward, devoted and beloved mother of Chandra Turner and Kyhan Turner, sister to Edward Prentice of Florida and Tom Prentice of Massachusetts, and much loved friend to many including 'sister' Brenda Behrens.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to the California Lighting Technology Center at U.C. Davis, c/o the UC Regents, to remember how she brightened our days. Memorial service March 24; please contact the family for details .
