Florence (Giguere) Prentice, 84, of Southwick and later The Woods at Heritage Hall, passed away May 1, 2015 with her family at her side. Born in Quebec, Canada on June 15, 1930, daughter of the late Arthur and Sylvia (Brissette) Giguere.

A loving mother to six children. A proud employee of K-Mart. She was always the centerpiece at family gatherings.

She was predeceased by her cousin Janet Tichey LaFleur of Southwick and her brothers, Rene and Lucien Cloutier, leaving Marcel Cloutier of Quebec Canada and cousin Carol Olson of Southwick. She leaves six devoted children, Gary Prentice, and his wife Nancy of Feeding Hills, Gayle Lombardini and her husband Paul of Feeding Hills, Diane Grimaldi, of Southwick, Nancy Demko and her husband Nick of Cedartown, GA, Karen Connor and her husband Fran of Suffield, CT, Laurie Phelps and her husband James of Southwick.

She also leaves thirteen grandchildren, Gary Prentice, Paul Prentice, Brett Lombardini, Ryan Lombardini, Josh Grimaldi, Heather Walters, Timothy Lansing, Zachary Connor, Nico Connor, Karli Connor, Shaun Phelps, Scott Phelps, Sarah Phelps and eight great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are 4:00PM – 7:00PM, on Tuesday (May 5th) in the Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick. A funeral home service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday (May 6th) with burial to follow in New Cemetery, Southwick.
