1. William Prentiss was b. 25 Nov 1911, Portland, OR, and d. 13 Jun 1995, Salem, OR, age 83 years. His obituary reads as following:

Deceased Name: WILLIAM PRENTISS. He was born Nov. 25, 1911, in Portland. Mr. Prentiss died June 13 in Salem at age 83. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he retired from paper sales in 1976. He was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church.

Mr. Prentiss married Mary Doyle in 1963. Survivors are his wife of Salem; son, Brad of Wilsonville; and sister, Hilda M. Prentiss of Burlingame, CA.

Note: Hilda was b. 5 Apr 1914 and d. 3 Dec 1996, Burlingame, San Mateo Co., CA, per the SSDI, She may be the Hilda M. Prentiss who was divorced in Sep 1972 in San Mateo Co. from Arthur A. Schmidt.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 19, 1995, in Willamette National Cemetery. Remembrances: Billy Graham Crusades. Arrangements: Rigdon Ransom Colonial Chapel.
