Dawn M. Prentice: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice, Berkshire Eagle, The (Pittsfield, MA) - Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

Deceased Name: Dawn M. Prentice, 1968 - 2011. PITTSFIELD - Dawn Marion Prentice, of Pittsfield, at 42 years of age on July 9, 2011, has entered into the Presence of Jesus Christ~her heavenly father. The Angels are rejoicing her arrival as we grieve her departure.

Dawn was born in Pittsfield. Her mother, J u d i t h D o u g l a s -Bradley, and father, Frederick Fuhlbrigge, welcomed her as an early Christmas gift in December 1968. Her sisters, Christin, who thought she was being given a real live baby doll, and Heather, who had a different reaction 'can't we send her back?' along with her brother, Doug, whom she comforted during his times of need, are mourning their loss. Dawn graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1988 and Berkshire Community College in 1998. After careers at New England Security, Ritz Camera, and Politis Chiropractic, Dawn, in 2001, dedicated herself to raising her children at home, deciding 'to not let someone else raise our children in ways we may not agree,' and spent that time teaching the children 'I will show you my faith by my works' James 2:14··20, and she did. She shared her love of God to all she helped, without regard to herself.

Dawn was married Oct. 7, 2000, to Stanley N Prentice Jr.; they shared the joy of raising three children, Andrew, Hope, Noah and a bonus daughter, Rebecca.

The Prentice family, while grieving, are also praising God in releasing Dawn from the pain of her cancer that she was being treated for at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and which ultimately claimed her. A most loved bonus daughter, herself, to Walter 'Mike' Bradley of Pittsfield, husband of Judith Fuhlbrigge Bradley. Mike will honor his daughter by singing 'The Lord's Prayer' at her service, which she loved to hear him sing. Dawn loved our Lord and Savior. She not only raised her children and attended Tabernacle Baptist Church, but also was a Sunday school teacher there and on the Praise team as well.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Pastor William H Havens will be officiating the service. Calling hours will be Thursday, July 14, 2011, from 4 until 7 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 895 West Housatonic St., Pittsfield MA. 01201.
