1. Lee Prentice, perhaps b. c. 1930-1940 at an unknown location. In the 2005 obituary of his son, Russell, he is called "of Alabama." probably refering to the town of Alabama, NY, which lies a short distance north of Basom where his sister lives, and a few miles NW of Batavia, NY.

He m. Carol Scroger. Children:

1. Stacy Prentice. She m. Ron Swimline and in 2005 lived in Basom, NY. Childen:
   1. Nicole Swimline, 2005 in Basom, NY.
   2. Michael Swimline, 2005 in Basom, NY.

2. Russell W. Prentice, b. 8 Apr 1963, Batavia, NY, and d. 6 Aug 2005, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, (NY?) which lies about 125 miles east of Batavia, NY. His obituary reads as follows:

   ALABAMA -- Russell W. "Alabama Bandit" Prentice, 42, a race car driver and who was partners with his father in Prentice Auto Parts, died Saturday (Aug. 6, 2005) at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland (NY?).

   He was born April 8, 1963, in Batavia, a son of Lee and Carol Scroger Prentice of Alabama, (NY?). He was a 1981 graduate of Oakfield-Alabama High School. He raced car #29 at Batavia and Ransomville tracks, and at numerous other tracks in estern New York, Canada and Pennsylvania. He enjoyed working on cars, especially race cars.

   In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, Stacy (Ron) Swimline of Basom; a niece and nephew, Nicole and Michael Swimline of Basom; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

   Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave., Oakfield, where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in West Shelby. Memorials may be made to the family.

The parents of Lee Prentice are Robert and Joyce L. Prentice. Joyce was b. 25 Jul 1917 and d. 20 Dec 1992 in Basom, Genesee Co., NY. Basom is where Stacy Prentice, dau. of Lee Prentice, was living in 2005 with her husband, Ron Swimline. Robert Prentice was b. c. 1914 in NY. In 1940 they lived in Barre, NY which is only 14 miles NE of Basom, NY.
