He m. Nellie M. Regan on 7 Apr 1892, Cook Co., IL , She was b. 15 Jul 1871 Sangatrick, MI, and d. there 6 Sep 1939. Dau. of James Regan, b. Ireland, and Ellen Ryan, b. Engand. They had three children in 15 years:

  1. Viola Grace Prentice, b. 10 Jun 1895, in MI, and d. 11 Nov 1936, Evergreen Park, IL, age 41. Bur. in Worth, IL. She m. Francis Joseph Keenan on 5 Jul 1916, in Chicago, IL. They had 7 boys and 2 girls.

Her m. Mildred Birkmeier on 20 Aug 1938. She was b. 2 Aug 1905 and d. 26 Nov 2002, Lima, OH. Her obituary reads as follows:

    Lima News, The (OH) - Wednesday, November 27, 2002:

    MILDRED PRENTICE, 97, Delphos, died at 10:25 a.m. Nov. 26, 2002, at The Laurels of Defiance. She was born Aug. 2, 1905, in Delphos to Fred B. and Caroline Scharf Birkmeier.

    On Aug. 20, 1938, she married George "Jack" Prentice, who died in 1962.

    Mrs. Prentice was retired from the American Red Cross. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and 3rd Order Seculor of St. Francis.

    Survivors include a sister, Rita Gremling of Defiance; and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph J. and Carl Birkmeier.

    Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to services Saturday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Foundation.

Apparently there were no children.
