Candice "Candy" E. Prentice, 52 of Port Orchard, WA passed away on July 16, 2002 at home. She was born on January 4, 1950 in Montgomery, AL to Elmer and Dorrine (Johnson) Booth.

She graduated from the Nursing Program at Everett Community College, Everett, WA in 1975. Candy lived in Monroe for 20 years working at Valley General Hospital in the Emergency Department and at the Monroe Convalescent Center. She also worked as a registered nurse at Providence Hospital in Everett. She married Corey Prentice on March 16, 1986 in Monroe, WA. Candy loved riding horses, playing cribbage, trout fishing, spending time with her family, and was a great pancake maker. She was a devout Christian who loved her Lord and Savior.

She is survived by her husband Corey Prentice of Port Orchard, WA; brother Tod (Lori) McLaughlin of Wenatchee, WA; daughters Christine (Eric) Bruner of Woodbridge, VA and Josie (Ivan) Bratchuk of Portland, OR; sister Tamara (Mick) Schultz of Newport, WA; five grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron, Sidney, Kaele, Jessica.

She was preceded in death by her brother Steven E. Booth.

A Memorial Service will be held at Dalkena Community Church in Usk, WA at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 20, 2002. Arrangements entrusted to Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel. Daily Herald, The (Everett, WA) - Friday, July 19, 2002
