He m. Helen Eileen Prentice who was b. 22 Jan 1914 and d. 5 Apr 2009, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was the dau. of Delmar and Viola Hurst. Her obituary reads as follows:

Helen Prentice, January 22, 1914 to April 5, 2009. Helen passed away peacefully at Pineview Terrace Lodge with her family by her side.

Helen is survived by her children Elaine (Elmer) Chandler, Keith, Donald & Delmer Prentice and Karen (Wally) Disiewich; very close grandchildren Paul (Val) Chandler, Kathleen (Bob) Barrowclough, Kelly (Morgan) and Brad Disiewich; very close great grandchildren Andrew, Zachary and Shaelynn Chandler, Kristen and Brody Barrowclough and Ella Disiewich; along with the children and grandchildren of Grace Plunkett and Verna Rarich; sister Mildred Taylor; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Helen was raised and farmed in the Weldon area until 1980 when she moved to Carment Court in Prince Albert.

Helen was predeceased by her parents Delmar and Viola Hurst; the father of her children Norman; daughters Grace and Verna; grandson Aaron; siblings Mable, Muriel, Bernard, Eugene, Phyllis and Gerald.

Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Prince Albert Family Church, 540 " 1st Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Pastor Glen Stead officiating. Interment will be held at the Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Pineview Terrace Lodge or the Rose Hill Cemetery.
