Update of 5 Jan 2014: The 1930 Oakland census shows him to be the son of Waller (Walter?) J. Prentice (b. c. 1895, CA) and Maria (b. c. 1901, CA). See now the Fall 2004 article on George L. Prentice of CA . That article now replaces this article.

He m. Marilyn Laverne Barger on 24 Aug 1963, Alameda Co., CA. A "White Pages" search of "Marilyn L. Prentice" indicates she lived at 5429 Brookdale Ave Oakland, CA 94619-3208. A 1940 census search gives her birth year as b. c. 1929, dau. of Harry Barger (b. c. 1885, MD) and Helen (b. c. 1898, MI), then living in Oakland, Alameda Co., CA. They had 1 or more children, including:

1. Cory Prentice was b. 13 Oct 1964, CA. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [2]
2. Todd Prentice (b. 5 Feb 1967, Oakland, Alameda Co., CA).
3. Kelly Prentice, She apparently m. Mr. Allen.

Cory Prentice, October 13 1964 - August 31, 2013. Resident of Oakland. Cory Prentice a lifelong resident of Oakland died Saturday August 31, 2013. He was 48. Cory loved riding motorcycles, reading and going fishing with his best friend Brent.

He is survived by his mother Marilyn Prentice, his brother Todd Prentice (b. 5 Feb 1967, Oakland, Alameda Co., CA), his sister Kelly Allen-Prentice, his cousins Mark Rodrics, Megan & Michael Barger and nephew Ty Cooper.
