2. Charles Malcolm Prentice was b. c. 1931. When he d. in 2009 he was a resident of Queenston, Ontario, Canada. His obituary reads as follows:

    Charles "Chuck" Malcolm Prentice, b. c. 1931 and d. 19 Jul 2009, Queenston, Ontario, CANADA; Obits For Life, (contributed by Scott Prentice).

    PRENTICE, Charles (Chuck) M. Passed away at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Sunday July 19th, 2009 at the age of 78.

    He was a loving and caring husband to Doris Reid for 59 years. Father of Dennis (Theresa), Nancy (Ross) Bateman, Mark Charles (Georgia), Jeffrey (Pol), the late (2003) Robert (Cindy), James (Jill) and Scott (Janice). Papa of 12 grandchildren and almost 8 great-grandchildren. Brother of Jean (the late John) Martin, the late Shirley and Art Matthews, Marilyn (Steve) Mesaros and Robert (Brigitta).

    Chucks involvement with Boy Scouts in his early years had a positive influence on all his life. He worked for Bell Canada - Lineman to Manager during 37 years of service. Chuck was a co-founder of the Queenston Volunteer Fire Department and became Chief until his retirement. He also coached fastball for different ages for 17 years.

    Thank you to the staff of the Dialysis Unit at Niagara Health System Ontario Street Site. A gathering of family and friends at Queenston Fire Hall will be held Wednesday July 22nd from 1-5 p.m. In memory of Chuck, donations may be made to Tender Wishes, and would be appreciated by the family.
