We explored the possibility that William Prentice might be the same person as the William Prentice, b. 28 Oct 1786, Thorp Arch, Yorkshire, shown in the Prentice Family Tree at Ancestry.com , son of William Prentice and Mary Blackburn. His Ancestor Chart can be found at Ancestry.com .

However, he is shown in our Spring 2001 article entitled Prentices of Bilton Ainsty, etc. as #13 and marrying "Mary," not Jane per #1, above.
