1. Keith T. Prentice was b. c. 1934 in Syracuse, Onondaga Co., NY, and d. 18 Jan 2012 in the Phoenix, AZ area. His Phoenix, AZ, obituary reads as follows:

    Prentice, Keith T. passed away on Wednesday, January 18th, 2012, at the age of 78. He was born in Syracuse, NY, and graduated with an Associate's degree from Canton Technical College in Canton, NY, in 1954. He was a deep-sea diver for the Army from 1954 to 1956 and worked at General Electric Co.in Syracuse from 1956 until 1968, He then was transferred to the Phoenix, AZ, area as Automation Design Analyst with GE. He remained with that company when it became Honeywell and retired in 1987. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Midwestern University.

    He was active in the AZ Archeological Society for many years and a site, "Keith's Floor", was named for him. He loved the desert and was fond of hunting. He was a private pilot and his other interests were remote control airplanes, sketching, and oil painting.

    Keith is survived by his sister, Beverly Garland of Georgetown, DE, and brother Richard Prentice and sister-in-law, Janice Prentice of Houston, TX, as well as seven nieces and nephews and their families.

Although only an educated guess for now, his parents might be:

  1. Floyd Prentice (b. c. 1906, NY) and his wife, Gladys, of Syracuse. The 1930 census 2 children, ages 2 and under. He also has a brother, Glenn Prentice, b. c. 1909 and then unmarried, but who might soon marry and have a son.

  2. William Prentice (b. c. 1898, NY) and his wife, Florence, of Syracuse. The 1930 census shows 3 children surnamed Prentice ranging in age from 2 to 14 years of age.

  3. Elmer A. Prentice (b. c. 1883, NY) and his wife, Myrtle of Syracuse. The 1930 census shows 9 children, ranging in age from 9 to 18 years of age.
