He m. LaQueta Moore c. 1964. She was b. c. 1942 in Morenci, AZ. and d. 5 Jun 2011 in Weirton, WV. he was the dau. of Charles R. Moore and Oleta Holly Gregory. Children:

  1. Michele Prentiss. She m. David Bateman and in 2011 lived in Chesapeake, VA.
  2. Christopher M. Prentiss. In 2011 lived in Chesapeake, VA.
  3. (adopted) Cunthia Prentiss. She m. David Pickens and in 2011 lived in Chesapeake, VA

LaQueta's obituary reads as follows:

LaQueta M. Prentiss, Chesapeake. LaQueta Moore Prentiss, 68, died June 5, 2011. Mrs. Prentiss was born in Morenci, AZ to the late Charles R. Moore and Oleta Holly Gregory. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and an avid reader.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years, Christopher Tommy Prentiss; children, Michele Prentiss Bateman and husband David of Chesapeake, Christopher M. Prentiss of Chesapeake, and adopted daughter, Cynthia Pickens and husband David of Chesapeake; sister, Patricia Moore Ashcraft of Murrieta, CA; and four grandchildren, TC, Charles, Daniel, and Maddy.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 6:00pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 929 Battlefield Blvd, S, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at the residence of Annette Hudson, 100 block of Greengable Way, Chesapeake, following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
