    Andrew Laurance.

    Andy was born in Roseburg, Oregon, on July 24, 1979. He attended school in Dillard, Oregon, and Winston, and graduated from Douglas High School in 1997. After high school, Andy worked at Yellowstone and Grand Canyon Parks, a plywood mill, and a tree farm. His last job was at a vineyard and winery near Umpqua, Oregon. Andy liked the work and adored his employers Mr. and Ms. Stephen Reustle. Andy liked to hunt, fish, swim, hike, and ride his trail bike. He was a handsome young man with a warm smile and shy, quiet demeanor.

    Andy is survived by his parents, Nick and Leslie Laurance; a sister and brother-in-law, Aaron and Carrie Hay; aunts and uncles, Michael and Pamela Freed; Robert and Cynthia Phillips; James and Jayne Prentice; and Ron and Pamela Stewart; first cousins, Christopher, Candice, and Brian Freed; Jerome, Joby, and Jennifer Prentice; Joseph and Angela Stewart. Andy is also survived by two great-aunts, special cousins, Joe, Ricci, Christie, Michael and Timothy of the Joseph Laurance family in Dillard, Oregon; and many special friends and other cousins.

    Andy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bert Laurance; Virginia Laurance; Thomas Prentice; and Dorothy Prentice.

    A memorial service for Andrew Laurance will be held at 10 a.m. on July 27, 2004. The service will be next to Andy's home overlooking his favorite fishing hole at 750 Dillard Garden Road in Winston, Oregon. TAYLORS FAMILY CHAPEL is assisting the family with arrangements.
