2. Robert "Bob" Prentice, b. c. 1966 and d. 9 Jan 2009 in Wyoming, Kent Co., MI, age 43 years. His Obituary of 13 Jan 2009 in the Grand Rapids (MI) Press reads as follows:

    Robert "Rob" Prentice aged 43, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, January 9, 2009.

    He was preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Ann Knowlton; his grandparents, Bill and Ann Oppeful, Marve Prentice. Surviving are his daughter, Melissa Louise Prentice, who was the love of his life; his mother and step-father, Pat and Butch Knowlton; his father and step-mother, Bob and Sharon Prentice; special friend and neighbor, Denise Beaudry.

    Rob suffered for the past 13 years with the degenerative disease, Transverse Myletis. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Deacon Dale Hollern officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Transverse Myletis Association.
