1. Lester C. Prentice was b. c. 1893 in Virginia. He appears in the 1930 census in Susquehanna, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania as a Negro with his wife and family.
He m. Cornelia S., Negro, who was b. c. 1901, PA. They had 1 or more children, including:

2. William L. Prentice. He appears in the 1930 census in Susquehanna, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania as a Negro and was b. c. 1924, PA, and d. 5 Mar 2009, age 85 years His obituary reads as follows:

- Leonard [Prentice]of NJ,
- William [Prentice], Jr. of NE,
- Arlene [Prentice] and
- Karen Prentice of Harrisburg
Corporal William "Bunt" Lester Prentice, Sr. "It gives me great pride to extend my personal appreciation to you for your service to the United States of America during World War Two." Former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge
Corporal William "Bunt" Lester Prentice, Sr. recipient of four battle stars and a good conduct medal passed suddenly at home in his 85th year March 5, 2009. He was a retired Steel Worker of 35 years, Trustee and Treasurer of the Pastor's Aid in the First Zion Baptist Church in Edgemont. During World War II he served with the Red Ball Express, an all Black trucking supply unit under General George Patton. He was also a member of the American Legion.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Essie Mae Prentice four children,
Services will be in his church at 1500 Edgemont Road on Wednesday, March 11th at 10 AM with viewing at 9 AM. His final resting place with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
