1. Charles H. Prentiss was b. Apr 1860, VT, with both parents b. in VT. He died before the 1930 census as his wife is there called a widow. . He does not appear in the 1860, 1870 or 1880 census. He first appears in the 1900 census in Burlington, Chittenden Co., VT, with his wife and family.

He m. Winnie (Winifred?) G. Wood who was b. Dec 1864, VT, dau. of Mary E. Wood, b. Sep 1834, VT, who was living with them in Burlington in the 1900 census. Her father was also b. in VT. Called "Minnie A, Prentice" and widowed and living with her son, Howard, in the 1930 census in McDonough, Chenango Co., NY. Charles and Winnied had 4 or more children, including:

At home in 1920 census. Called "Howard C. Prentice" and living with his mother, Winnie, in the 1930 census in McDonough, Chenango Co., NY, and called a Farm Laborer.

He m. Nina Clark (transcribed as "Clack,") who was b. c. 1883 in Morristown, VT(?). They had 2 or more children, including:
