He married Harriet Ann Kibbe, 10 Jan 1842, in Norwich, N.L., CT [478]. Born, circa 1816, in CT. Died, 4 Sep 1882 [477]. Census: 1860, 1870 and 1880 in Norwich, N.L., CT. Children:
- Emma Louisa Prentice. Born, 9 Mar 1843, in CT. She d. 5 Feb 1887, Brattleboro, VT. Census: 1860, in Norwich, N.L., CT.
- Arthur Clift Prentice. Born, 9 Nov 1844, in Norwich, N.L., CT [479]. Census: 1900, in Norwich, N.L., CT [480]. Census: 1860 and 1880 in Norwich, N.L., CT. He married Nellie L. Clark, Apr 1883. He d. 15 Aug 1916, Norwich, CT. He is living with his widowed sister, Frances, in the 1900 census in Norwich; he is there shown as married, but his wife is not shown in their household.
- Lucy Adelaide Prentice. Born, 27 Dec 1846, in Norwich, N.L., CT [3]. Census: 1860, in Norwich, N.L., CT. She married Henry E. Bradley?, 16 Sep 1869. She d. 12 Aug 1885, Hartford Ct. He may be the Henry Edmund Bradley who was b. 13 Sep 1842, Hartford, CT, son of William Henry Bradley and Caroline Holmes.
- Harriet "Hattie" Augusta Prentice. Born, 15 May 1849, in Norwich, N.L., CT [3]. She d. Apr 1930, Washington, DC. Census: 1860, in Norwich, N.L., CT. She married Robert Bruce Fuller, 20 Aug 1874.
- Frances "Fanny" Caroline Prentice. Born, 17 Aug 1851 [477]. Census: 1900, in Norwich, N.L., CT [481]. Census: 1860, in Norwich, N.L., CT. She married Edwin W. Church, 5 Apr 1876. She appears as a widow in the 1900 Norwich census and is living with her brother Arthur, above. She d. 29 Mar 1941, Norwich, CT.
- Charles Hamilton Prentice. Born, 20 Aug 1863 [477]. At home in 1870 and 1880 census in Norwich, N.L., CT. He d. 11 Jan 1903, Norwich, CT. Not in 1900 Norwich census.
